Antenatal Pilates
Training the body how to use the muscles efficiently is fundamental in a period of changes and transition like pregnancy. This can help not only to diminish back pain, but also to ease your birth through optimal foetal positioning and to support your body through the postnatal phase, when our attention shifts to the new one coming in the word rather than ourselves.
The class focuses on back strengthening and mobility, use of breath and the pelvic floor. The exercises are taught with the appropriate modifications related to the individual needs and different stages of pregnancy.
Luisa would be very happy to discuss any individual issues or any questions via phone or email. You can contact her at mluisa@btinternet.com or on 07816 430383.
Classes consist of no more than 6 people, ensuring a high level of supervision. All classes will run with a minimum of 2 - 3 people booked.
There is useful information about current government legislation, which allows pregnant women to take paid time off work for antenatal appointments and antenatal classes, pregnancy yoga/pilates and other antenatal care.
